All About Us
Dean Cartwright – Big Chief Community Manager
Dean has worked in a variety of jobs throughout his time on Earth including, most recently, 10 years experience working with people from disadvantaged backgrounds in the Voluntary Sector. His Job roles have included Advice and Guidance Worker, Tutor/Progressions Co-ordinator and Regional Operations Manager for the football charity, Street League, in Tees Valley.Dean has worked with groups not only in the North of England but across the globe. Dean has a lifelong love of sport and left Street League to set up 3S-Team CIC with Andy to enable people of all ages and backgrounds, mainly from disadvantaged communities, to access a range of sporting activities and use them as a means to improve their lives.

Andy Gray – Head Honcho of Sport
Andy started karate/kickboxing at the age of 6 and at 17 decided to compete against the most elite fighters in Britain. He was just 18, when all his hard work paid off and he was crowned WAKO British Champion, a title he successfully defended a year later. This was to be the start of his journey to the very top of his chosen sport. Andy went on to win many more national and international titles, including a World bronze, silver and 2 World Championships.
Andy has previously worked for Street League and The Prince’s Trust over a 10 year period, working with disadvantaged people from diverse backgrounds. During his time with Street League, he accompanied 6 young people to Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, to take part in FIFA’s Football For Hope Festival, an experience which saw him deliver team building workshops and a cultural awareness presentation to over 400 delegates from 27 different countries. During his time with the Prince’s Trust he won awards for his leadership and work within the community.
Andy decided to set up 3S-Team CIC with Dean as he wanted to present people with the same opportunities he has had on his journey, but also to introduce new sports into the mainstream and innovative ideas to staying active.
Andy is a qualified kickboxing instructor, personal trainer as well as an Ultimate Frisbee and Dodgeball coach. He wants to introduce people to new sports and methods of staying active and healthy.
